Away from the active site of the island, located at Crete's eastern tip, Kato Zakros is not only home to stunning beaches but also boasts the significant archaeological site of an ancient Minoan palace - Zakros Palace.

Explore Zakros Gorge, an extraordinary canyon, with huge caves passing through its walls. Also known as "Gorge of the Death", its name comes from excavations carried out on its walls, as Minoan tobs were found. The gorge itself blends natural beauty with history and as is as safe as any other accessible gorge in Crete, brings an interesting experience to everyone!

In the same area lays the fourth largest Minoan palace that has been excavated, and the most isolated one, Zakros Palace. It is full with historical and archeological treasures. Another significant natural and archeological site close to our premises is Pelekita Cave. The length of the explored routes in it is about 310 meters, and actually, it is full of countless geological features. Also known as "Cave of the Fig Tree", as an old fig tree near the entrance of the Cave, Pelekita is known for its extensive internal chambers and rich rock formations, including stalactites and stalagmites.
